    Url: http://freespace.virgin.net/allseasonslodge.hotel

The All Seasons Lodge Hotel is situated in a prime location only a
short walk from Gorleston's renowned, wide and gently shelving beach.
Our friendly hotel staff will do their utmost to ensure your stay with
us is both memorable and pleasant. We believe in providing that little
bit of extra service and quality that can make all the difference
during your stay whether it's business or pleasure. All rates include
FULL English Breakfast (served with tea, coffee, toast and a choice of
cereals) cooked with quality ingredients. Alternative breakfasts are
available e.g. vegetarian, kippers, etc., please advise when booking.
We also boast a fully licensed restaurant and bar. We have a wide
screen television in our fully stocked bar with Sky TV, whilst adjacent
to the bar room there is a pool table for your enjoyment. Our
restaurant serves excellent evening meals and pub lunches are also
available. All of our rooms are spacious, light and airy and have full
en-suite facilities including WC, sink and shower; baths are also
available if preferred. Most importantly, our rooms are exceptionally
clean and spacious. We are proud to have been awarded an RAC 4 Diamond
    rating.

We do not accept single sex group bookings (Stag parties, hen nights,
    etc.)

"Many of our customers come back time and time again so why not stay
with us and see what you're missing!"

Gorleston is about 3 miles from it's louder brother Great Yarmouth,
but not too far away to sample its nightlife should you feel the need.
The maritime town of Lowestoft is within easy reach, as are the ruins
of a Roman fort at Burgh Castle. There is a music hall within a short
walking distance from the hotel as well as a nightclub for the young at
heart. The pace of life in Gorleston is much gentler than that of Great
Yarmouth so those looking for a room directly above a nightclub should
look elsewhere. The world famous Norfolk Broads are close by as is the
beautifully clean cathedral city of Norwich. In summary, Gorleston is
an excellent choice to base your stay in this area.

For winding down at the end of a perfect day, why not have a drink with
us in our friendly bar. We offer a full range of spirits, wine, bottled
and draught beers and of course fruit juice. Should you have any energy
left then you could always try our pool table or you could just sit and
relax, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the good company.

Breakfast, Lunch and Evening Meals are served in our light, spacious
restaurant and all food is cooked using only quality ingredients.

All of our spacious rooms are available with full tea / coffee making
facilities and colour TV. Combine that with full on-suite facilities
and you will understand why we feel that we are a cut above your
average hotel. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our rooms and
we feel sure that you will not be disappointed. Beds can be added to
all rooms to facilitate children. For the romantic among you, our
Honeymoon Suite has a full four poster bed and an en-suite Jacuzzi
bath. Many rooms have adjoining smaller rooms for children; please ask
    for details when you book.

    The Hoste Arms Manor
    Address: Burnham Market, King's Lynn
    Zip Code: PE31 8HD
    City: Norfolk
    Country: UK
    Tel: +44 132 873 8777
    Fax: +44 132 873 0103
    Url: http://www.hostearms.co.uk

The Hoste Arms Manor was originally the manor house of Burnham Westgate
built in 1550. The 1st records of it being an Inn/Hotel were recorded
in 1651 when customs officers were known to have stayed.

It was owned by the Pitt family, relations to the politicians and
became known as the Pitt Arms. It was to become a well known coaching
Inn as it was the first stop from Wells on the way to London.

Lord Nelson was known to have visited the Pitt Arms every Saturday to
receive his dispatches during his period of unemployment from 1788 to
    1793.

The barIt once housed the live stock auction market and later the
assizes where the famous Burnham housewife murderers had their
preliminary trials before being sentenced to death at Norwich prison.

In 1811 the Pitt Arms changed to the Hoste Arms. The underlying reason
for this is unknown. There are two alternatives. The first being that
Nelson's protege, Captain Sir William Hoste flew the flags after
winning the battle of Lissa, hence remembering Nelson who had been
killed six years previously. The second reason being that the Hoste
family were huge land owners in the area who had recently purchased
    Sandringham.

The Hoste then fell under brewery ownership in the 1860's and suffered
130 years of decline. It continued to serve as a pub, but much of the
accommodation had not been touched between 1860 and when I first
purchased the Hoste in December 1989.

The garden It has served many roles over the years including a brothel
in the late Victorian period when I believe trade was very brisk!

The first ninety years of this century saw nothing but decay &
architectural abuse under brewery ownership. The most damaging was when
they tried to turn the Hoste into a theme pub by building a bow of a
ship in the restaurant and putting false shutters throughout the bar
meant to resemble the port holes of the ship. Toward the end of the
eighties the brewery and tenants fell out with the works not quite
finished leaving the bar held up with accroprops for three years which
were intended to be there for only three days.

I have received enormous pleasure since purchasing the Hoste Arms in
December 1989 which never ceases with my great love of architecture,
    art, food, wine and people.

The village, which is a must to look around, has been very supportive.
In six years we have gone from a pub with no bedrooms and a dining area
for thirty five people, to a twenty eight bedroom Inn with a fabulous
brasserie serving up to 150 covers a night. This menu is available in
the relaxed atmosphere of our Front rooms or Conservatory, and in the
tranquil Restaurant. We also boast art collections in our Gallery.

The Lounge ConservatoryMy wife has done all the interior design in
beautifully strong colours which reflect her personality.

I hope you have a wonderful stay, please feel free to speak to me on
any points you wish to discuss or just for a chat. If however, I do not
answer do try again as I am very deaf and need to lip read to
understand you. Many people mistake this for rudeness, but I love to
    talk with everyone.

The relaxed conviviality in the bar with its log fire is hard to beat,
except perhaps by the equally relaxed friendliness of the conservatory
with its comfortable leather arm chairs. Whether you wish to put the
world to rights, or merely take it over - the Hoste's the place in
    which to do it.

Inspired by first hand experience of the world's great restaurants, the
Hoste chefs create imaginative menus based on fine local produce. A
list of over 200 wines features the world's finest, including some of
the most keenly priced classics in England.

The Hoste's thirty six rooms include: standard doubles, family
bedrooms, four posters, junior suites and a penthouse. All are designed
by Jeanne Whittome with a view to you not wanting to leave.

Facilities for weddings, functions and conferences, 50 - 500 people are
available at Sussex Barn, 1 mile from Burnham Market.

The bedrooms in the old station are quite small, but they are all well
decorated and have en-suite shower, television and tea & coffee making
facilities. There is a communal sitting room, there are no telephones
in the rooms, but a payphone is provided. A full English breakfast is
included in our prices and is served between 7.30 and 10.30 am at The
Hoste Arms, a five minute walk away. A car can be arranged to take you
between The Hoste Arms and The Railway Inn.

We hope we have provided a station where for once you are happy to be
    kept waiting indefinitely!

would expect from a hotel of this quality, for example, colour TV,
complimentary tea and coffee making facilities and much, much more. All
rooms are decorated to the highest of standards, and in keeping with
the ambience of this fine Edwardian building.

The well appointed standard rooms offer the same high class degree of
comfort and cleanliness as the Deluxe and Superior sea view rooms, and
afford a charming aspect of the well kept gardens or village.

Enjoy the comfort of a king-size four poster bed in one of our Deluxe
rooms, which also have their own comfortable seating area so that you
can relax as you admire the spectacular sea view.

Many of the bathrooms are further enhanced by original hand painted
Delft tiles and our Deluxe rooms contain the luxuries of a bathroom
with either a spa bath or an Edwardian free standing roll top bath.

Whatever your choice of room, you'll enjoy a good night's sleep in
absolute comfort and as morning comes once again , you draw the
curtains to greet the day to a magnificent coastal view.*

Evening-as the shadows lengthen, what better way to reflect on the
delights of the day than to relax as you savour excellent food and wine
chosen from a seasonal menu of fresh ingredients in the Frazer`s
Restaurant or oak panelled Winston Room, enhanced by the coastal views
during the daylight hours, and the intimacy of candlelight after dark.

And as each year unfolds, the carefully chosen menu reflects the
changing seasons. Enjoy the rich game of winter accompanied by full
bodied Claret, or the local sea foods of summer complemented by cool,
    crisp, white wine.

Whatever your interests, whenever you come to stay, for no matter how
long, you'll always find a wealth of places of interest to visit and
    things to do.

Perhaps spend a day visiting the National Trust Houses at Felbrigg or
Blickling, or enjoy a walk through the Trust Park at Upper Sheringham,
particularly as the Rhododendrons bloom in the early summer.

Or you may prefer a day's shopping, discovering the unspoilt Georgian
town of Holt. Explore it's hidden courtyards and bustling streets full
of antique and quality craft and gift shops where you may find that
extra special present to take home with you.

Or simply take a drive through some of the quieter lanes of this
beautiful county. Stumble across picturesque villages, country pubs,
historic churches and village green cricket-a reminder of the gentler
pace of life of times gone by. Travel a little further afield to visit
the fine historic city of Norwich where you can browse among the stalls
of the large Mediaeval Market, which nestles in the shadow of the
    impressive Norman Castle

Take a walk through the amazing Salt Marshes of North Norfolk, spotting
countless species of birds, then discover the delights of the unspoilt
Holkham Beach, or perhaps take a boat trip to watch the seals off
    Blakeney Point.

Fine beaches, Sandringham House, The Norfolk Broads, a wealth of
golfing, walking and fishing opportunities are but a few of the
pleasures that are waiting to be discovered and enjoyed by you during
your stay at the Sea Marge..
