The building, adjusted to the needs and
wishes of our time, has been
used as a hostelry for more than 200 years. It is the location where in
the previous century the horses of the stage-coach were changed, and
where the travellers could find a warm bed for the night. You might
even stay in the room in which, according to tradition, Victor Hugo
spent the night.
Our "Auberge" has got 8 rooms.
On the ground floor there is a bar and
restaurant, where you can also enjoy delicious meals … la carte. The
rooms are situated on the first and second floors. They all have shower
and toilet, as well as colour TV, radio, telephone and alarm.
There is plenty of tranquillity
relaxation. In the vicinity of the
hostelry you can go for various strolls through the splendid scenery:
you can stroll alongside brooklets and rock formations, roam through
beech woods and walk past green pastures.
We have the pleasure to offer you an
apartment situated 200 meters from
our hotel. The apartment extends the same conveniences as the hotel,
yet assures greater privacy.
The apartment, accessible by lift, is
located on the fifth floor. It
consists of a living room with a balcony, a bedroom, a bathroom, a
kitchen, as well as a great terrace. Linen, covers and towels are put
at your disposition. The living room is also equipped with a
television. The total surface of the apartment is 45m2 (480 square
feet) and suits two to three persons.
Through the living room you gain access
to the terrace (45m2) from
where you have a magnificent view over the wooded surroundings. A
barbecue and related accessories are at your service.
Behind the apartment building you may
also want to take advantage of an
open-air swimming pool open from mid-June to mid-September, weather
permitting.

The team of the Hotel du Parc in
Clervaux.
Count Adrien Florent de Berlaymont began
building a manor house in the
park opposite the castle of Clervaux. Stones from the castle were used
as building material. The "Villa Berlaymont", as it was called by the
locals, was completed in 1889.
After the death of the count in 1914 his
nephew, Guy de Berlaymont,
inherited the estate as well as the castle, the stately villa, lands in
and around Clervaux and in addition the castles Bormenville and
Hoboment in Belgium.
The consequence of the dissolute life of
Guy de Berlaymont: in 1927 /
1928 his possessions were publicly auctioned off, the inherited fortune
had been spent, the estate and castles in Luxembourg and Belgium in
enormous debt. The "Villa Berlaymont" gets into private hands and is
converted into a hotel.
During the "Battle of the
bulge" in December 1944 soldiers of the
German Army occupied the "Villa Berlaymont". During battles with
american soldiers who were entrenched in the castle the castle was set
on fire and burned down to the foundation walls. Only a smoking ruin
remained. Today the castle is completely renovated and contains various
exhibitions.
The presemt owners take over the hotel.
The facade and roof as well as
the rooms and restaurant were carefully renovated.
Today the hotel offers the rest seeking
tourists seven completely
furnished rooms and a carefully decorated, reputated restaurant.
You will find us in the park opposite the
castle of Clervaux, only a
few minutes away from the town center. To the railway station it takes
about 10 minutes walking.
We are located in the north of the
country, about one hour from
Luxembourg-City.
All our rooms have en-suite facilities,

There is ample private parking space at

The lovely decorated restaurant has up to
