Welcome to the Abbey Hotel, Blackpool.
The Abbey Hotel is a small and
select hotel situated in Central Blackpool. This is one of a very few
Blackpool hotels that caters to couples and solo singles only.
A Hotel for those people who want a quiet
and comfortable place to stay
and somewhere to relax after enjoying all that Blackpool, and the North
West of England has to offer.
Because we are a small hotel we are able
to offer you that personal
service that is often found lacking in larger establishments.
We are both fully trained and qualified
people and we have many years
of experience in the hospitality and leisure industry. We put all this
experience and training into the running of our very successful, small
and select, Blackpool hotel.
We have completely refurbished the
building and with you in mind we
have developed definite operating policies. We do not cater to single
sex or potentially boisterous parties. So if you want a knees up or an
all night party then this is not the place to stay.
We have no family rooms and we are unable
to cater for younger children
or babies. In the main we follow the Blackpool Hotel tradition of set
meal times, this usually works very well because all of Blackpool's
entertainment's and shows are geared around these times.
Our bar lounge only opens in the evening
and does not stay open very
late. It is usually a happy chatty place, we like a laugh and a joke,
but we don't party or play loud music. The bar lounge is the only room
in our house where smoking is permitted. The rest of the hotel, all the
guest rooms and all other public areas are NO SMOKING. We want you to
stay with us at the Abbey Hotel and have a wonderful holiday or visit
to Blackpool.

We have a limited number of car spaces
available to us in a locked
storage facility at the rear of our hotel. If you require a space for
your car, you must reserve it when you make your hotel booking, it may
be too late to do so when you arrive.
The charge for this service covers the
cost of storing your car once
regardless of the length of your stay, but, if you remove and then re-
park your car the fee will have to be paid again.
Your vehicle remains your responsibility
at all times. The proprietors
of the Abbey Hotel and the parking facility accept no responsibility
for any loss or damage to the vehicle or for any property left inside
it.

The Belmont is owner run. We have 17
bedrooms, all are en-suite. They
have showers, toilets and washbasins. Most of the hotel including the
water and heating system has been upgraded in the last year or so, with
new carpets, televisions, general decoration work, double-glazing etc,
thermostatic control to all radiators. It is constantly being
maintained and maintained and maintained, it never ends!
We are a friendly relaxed hotel. But the
standards of food and
housekeeping are high.
Everyone is given a key and can come and
go as they please, but we do
insist that when you come in late you respect other guests and fall up
the stairs quietly! We do not allow you to bring anyone into the hotel
without first asking us.
Children are allowed into the bar but a
hotel is foremostly a grown up
place and we expect children to be well behaved and to stay with their
parents at all times.
At the reception we have hairdryers,
ironing boards, irons and alarm
clocks. You may smoke in your room and in most of the hotel. But not in
the dining room during meals.
We have a large car park and parking is
very rarely a problem but we do

This Kensington based hotel has been a
reputable place to stay,
offering a good degree of comfort in a well maintained and managed
environment. Located just 2 minutes walk from the Earl's Court
Underground Station, the Burns is accessible by direct rail connection
from Heathrow Airport in around 35 - 40 minutes with no changes en
route.The immediate surrounds comprise of a peaceful residential
square. Access to the West End is simple, being only a 10 minute ride
directly to Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square and Covent Garden.
Earl's Court Station also is on a direct connection to London Victoria
which is the terminal for the Gatwick Express. Located within 1 mile of
the hotel are the 2 exhibition centres of Earl's Court and Olympia, The
Science Museum, Natural History Museum, Geology Museum and the V&A.
Harrods is approximately 1.25 miles. All 105 centrally heated bedrooms

Karaoke
We do karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays -
it seems very popular and we
plan to run this for the rest of the season. We'll also be running it
on selected midweek nights to 10:30pm if there is sufficient demand. We
realise this may put a few people off who prefer a quieter life - all I
can say to this is it's just a bit of fun - seems very popular to date
and as we don't take large groups (just couples and families) it's not
rowdy. We turn it off at midnight and we are very strict about this.

Car Park
We have space for 18 vehicles. These are
allocated on a first come -
first served basis. If the car park is full on your arrival please park
on the pavement to unload and then we'll direct you to areas where
there are unrestricted street parking.
Coach Parties
Sorry - we prefer NOT to take large group
bookings at this time. We're
doing very well and don't need to offer the group discounts that coach
firms ask for. We also find larger groups tend to be noisier and spoil
things for our regular guests. Families and couples only please.
Golfing Holiday?
Golfers are the only type of large single
sex group bookings we would
accept. There are some fine courses nearby. If you're coming midweek
let the wife go shopping one afternoon and come and have a round of
golf with the owner. I'm a member of Blackpool North Shore Golf Club
and you can have a round there with me for only ?1 (SAVING ?4!!). I'd
just need a few days notice - so Bring Your Clubs!! I'm a 18-20
handicap so if you're lower - great I could do with the tips! - if
you're higher - no probs - let's just have a knock.

Children and facilities?
We are not a large hotel - there are no games rooms, pool tables or
